Detoxifying Herbs:

Nettle Leaf is packed with vitamins, iron and minerals and is as much at home in the kitchen as spinach. Nettle is traditionally a blood cleanser, spring tonic and mild diuretic. Nettle also possesses antiviral properties and is sometimes used to counter kidney and urinary tract infections.

Dandelions are not only common lawn weeds, but they’re also widely-used medicinal plants. Dandelion leaves are used for their diuretic, laxative and liver-supportive effects, as well as to detoxify the gallbladder and liver.

Plantain is found to be extremely effective against kidney and bladder problems. An infusion of plantain has a diuretic effect and is known to soothe the bladder. Plantain also possesses blood cleansing properties.

Alfalfa Leaf is a source of certain nutrients including vitamins A, B complex, C, E and K, as well as calcium, potassium, phosphorus, iron, chlorophyll and many trace minerals. Alfalfa is a used as a blood and liver purifier of chemicals and heavy metals, and to detoxify the urinary tract.

Red Clover has a diuretic effect and is traditionally used for its cleansing effect on the blood and liver. Red clover is a source of many nutrients including calcium, chromium, magnesium, niacin, phosphorus, potassium, thiamine, vitamin C, and a high concentration of isoflavones.

Peppermint and Your Health

Peppermint calms the muscles of the stomach and improves the flow of bile, which the body uses to digest fats. As a result, food passes through the stomach more quickly. Peppermint relaxes the muscles that allow painful digestive gas to pass.

Peppermint and its main active agent, menthol, are effective decongestants. Because menthol thins mucus, it is also a good expectorant, meaning that it helps loosen phlegm and breaks up coughs. It is soothing and calming for sore throats (pharyngitis) and dry coughs as well.

Health Benefits of Orange Peel

Hesperidin is an antioxidant found in oranges and there are very high levels of it in the peel. Hesperidin helps protect the heart by lowering blood pressure and regulating cholesterol levels. Orange peel will help to reduce chronic inflammation in the body, which can help with many different health conditions like heart disease, arthritis, and cancer.

This is one of the better detoxing teas I’ve had. I like the balance of all the flavors. The result is a mild, even taste that I don’t mind making part of my daily routine.

I do lots of detoxing for myself and for clients. I recommend drink inking detox tea. So happy I found this one, it’s the best! Love the Orange in it, so refreshing and good. I tell my people to drink a cup of this a few times a day.

This tea pretty much speaks for itself from the floral & fruity notes of the Rooibos and Orange Peel, to the spice of the Red Clover, this is an all around well balanced detox tea. I also love the benefits that it gives to those of us that suffer with seasonal & annual allergies, due to its ability to aid in flushing out the allergens that we are exposed to. So if you are looking for a great tasting tea that helps detox your body and help with your allergies, look no further and try out Organic Orange Detox.

This superb tasting tea is my go-to when I need to immediately feel better and start a detox. I make a pot of this tea at night and it relaxes me, helps me to get a good night’s sleep and recharges my entire system. The flavors are not overpowering for a detox tea with as many important ingredients as this one has.

I made my first purchase with Divinitea earlier this week and it arrived yesterday. I purchases 4 teas and this is the first I am trying. I followed the instructions on the very convenient, re-sealable bag in which the tea arrived and used a glass teacup with a removable diffuser. Just opening the bag, the tea impressed me with its wonderful scent and pretty appearance. Being able to smell it was amazing simply because I have had a horrible cold for the past week complete with extreme runny nose and post nasal drip. It was these symptoms and the dread of them being compounded as allergies are also arriving that led me to find this site. Due to the PND, I had also been experiencing a queasy stomach and had been hesitant to eat or drink much but decided to give it a go with this tea in the hopes that it might alleviate the symptoms and that the warm, if nothing else, would thin down everything. Once steeped the tea was a lovely golden colour, not extremely dark and still strongly scented enough that I was able to smell it. The taste was mostly citrus with notes of mint. I did notice a slight flavor that followed the others that I was not able to fully identify… it wasn’t bad by any means. just in contrast to the distinct mint and citrus. I _think_ it may have been the dandelion because the only impression I really had from it reminded me of when the front yard is fresh cut and we do have a multitude of dandelions out there unlike the more pristine ‘just grass’ of some of the other yards in the neighborhood. I drank about half of the cup and then got distracted by something my husband wanted me to see on tv. I came back to it about 15 minutes later. It had cooled somewhat but the flavor did not suffer. I have noticed that some herbal teas get bitter or lose their flavor if they sit and begin to cool. I did notice that my stomach no longer felt queasy and my breathing was a bit easier. I took my usual dose of meds to get to sleep but unlike the previous nights I did not wake up in the middle of the night for an additional dose and this morning I did not have to take anything to alleviate symptoms so that I could go to work. I can not necessarily attribute it all to the tea but I can say that since drinking it I do definitely feel improved and will be trying it on onset of the next cold or allergy symptoms. I am looking forward to try to other 3 teas that I purchased.
