Description
How Jasmine Green Tea is Scented
Tea leaves are harvested in the early spring and stored until the late summer when fresh Jasmine flowers are in bloom. Jasmine flowers are picked in the late afternoon when the small petals are tightly closed. The flowers are kept cool until nightfall. In the early evening, when the flowers begin to open, the tea is blended with Jasmine flowers and stored overnight. During the night Jasmine flowers open, bloom and release their fragrance into the tea. It takes over four hours for the tea to absorb the fragrance and flavor of the jasmine blossoms. This scenting process may be repeated for as many as six or seven times. The tea absorbs moisture from the fresh Jasmine flowers so it must be dried again to prevent spoilage.

Jasmine Pearls (so far) is the only green tea I truly adore. These are no exception. A beautiful and refreshing tea that is delicious hot or cold. Doesn’t need any sweetener and if prepared properly isn’t bitter. I gave this 4 stars only because some of the pearls were crushed upon arrival. Not a big deal as the tea is still delicious.

This tea reminds me of the kind you would drink in the Chinese restaurants but is so much better. The flavor is smooth. It is not bitter like some Jasmines you can get. I found it a great over all cup of tea. This is something I will defiantly keep in stock in my cupboard.

I drink a lot of different teas, but this one is by far my favorite. It’s a perfect pick-me-up in the afternoon. The flavor is not bitter, as with some green teas, and is pleasing all on it’s own. The best part is that you can steep the leaves two or three times and still get a nice flavor, even though it’s a bit weaker. I always have this tea on hand.

I have been drinking this tea from Divinitea since 2010. It has been my favorite ever since. It is warm and soothing with a subtle jasmine flavor, and not bitter at all. There is nothing overpowering about it as with other green teas I have purchased elsewhere. I am addicted.
