Herbs to Help with Allergies
Our Organic Allergy Tonic contains natural antihistamine and anti-inflammatory ingredients that help prevent allergies and help alleviate symptoms:
Rooibos is a naturally caffeine free herbal tea from South Africa. It has smooth, full bodied, and slightly sweet flavor that makes it a popular beverage. South Africans have used Rooibos for centuries for the treatment of a variety of ailments, including allergies, cramps, colic, insomnia, and eczema.
Rooibos contains two bioflavonoids called rutin and quercetin. These compounds block the release of histamine, a chemical the body produces in response to allergens. These compounds work both inside and outside of the body. A tea infusion can be consumed to prevent and relieve allergies. As used in South African hospitals, infusions can also be rubbed on the skin to treat irritations.
Yerba Mate is an herbal shrub or tree that’s found in places such as Brazil, Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay. Yerba Mate stimulates the adrenal glands to produce corticosteroids. This helps suppress overactive immune system responses to allergens, suppress inflammation, and creates more oxygen flow by opening the respiratory passages. It is important to note that Yerba Mate contains caffeine, which may keep people awake at night if consumed too late in the day.
Ginger is a natural antihistamine, so it relieves allergy problems in the sinus. It also has anti-inflammatory properties, which can provide relief to any aches accompanying a bout of allergies. In addition, ginger is traditionally consumed for relief of digestive disorders and to calm the stomach.
Lemon balm, named for its lemon scent, is a member of the mint family and is considered a “calming” herb. It has many medicinal qualities including being used to fight colds, settle sore stomachs, ease headaches, lower blood pressure and ease menstrual and respiratory problems. It has also been found that Lemon Balm has helped decrease stress and agitation in patients with Alzheimer disease and dementia.

I enjoy the taste of this tea, and feel that it has made a difference on my allergies this allergy season. I found that if I have a cup of the Allergy Tonic in the morning it helps to alleviate my allergy symptoms. Also, when my throat and ears start to get itchy I will brew the Allergy Tonic and those symptoms subside. Would definitely recommend!
I love this tea! It has a very smooth flavor and it mixes well with milk. I live in NC and it is pollen season! Every since i’ve been drinking this tea I haven’t suffered from any allergy symptoms. It really works! I will be reordering it for next years pollen season.
This blend of teas not only tastes great, but they are great for you, a true Tonic for your Allergies. I struggle with my allergies all year long and I came across Allergy Tonic a few months ago. Since taking it I am glad to say that it has made a huge difference in my life. I normally brew a cup every morning with some raw local honey and it helps alleviate the symptoms of my allergies through the day. I have & will continue to recommend this tea to anyone who has seasonal or annual allergies.
It’s hard to prove a negative but I had a cup of this tea every day that the ragweed count was high last month and never had any symptoms. I also added some local honey for good measure and taste. Previously I had suffered severe allergy symptoms when ragweed was high so I just reordered.
This tea tastes great, not too strong, not too weak. I haven’t had it long enough to test it on my allergies, but I’m hopeful. I have all year allergies and have been looking for something to help relieve them. I added local honey and a touch of milk and it tastes amazing. This is another keeper.
It seems to help with my allergies as well as the much more expensive tea that I was using. Very good tea, I like it.

My annual allergies are so bad right now, Sept 2020, (North Shore, Ma) and feeling beyond desperate. So at 3am I was looking for teas! Came across Divinitea and read good reviews on this allergy tea. Ordered and it arrived in two days. Enjoying my first cup and it’s delicious! As I sit with my tissue and this lovely tea, I am happy 🙂 Thank you to the creators of this blend. I will have a cup every morning and will check in again in a month or so.
