I purchased this item for my wife who is a teacher. She likes to drink tea on her break which is around 10:30AM. So based on the items info, which says it will keep your drink hot for 6 hours, I thought this would be perfect. Well I thought wrong. I guess I was thinking it was a thermos, which it is not. The tea was barely warm, 4 hours later. I even pre-warmed the travel mug with boiling water for a bit, then poured it out and added fresh boiling water in.
The tea, on the other hand, is really good!

I used this during winter bike commuting in sub-zero weather. It was nice having hot tea to drink. This keeps hot after 6 hours, especially if it’s full. If it’s close to empty, it tends to cool down faster.

I used to spend too much money buying coffee on my way to work, and I am trying to cut back on coffee for health reasons. This travel mug is perfect because I can use the built in infuser to steep tea and the mug fits perfectly in my cup holder. Now it’s hot tea on my morning drive!
